I wish...

I was inspired by a thread that was previously posted on Chowhound (and then, of course, taken down by the Chowhound Team) about what restaurants you'd like to see pop up in Providence. I decided to post my three wishes on my blog. Feel free to comment with your own three wishes for the city!

I wish Providence had...

1. A Jewish deli. I need a good everything bagel, some lox spread, kosher meats, and some challah. ASAP!

2. A Trader Joe's. I can't keep spending all my money at Whole Foods, and I definitely do not trust most things from Stop n Shop (especially fruit and produce). I need some Two Buck Chuck, some peanut butter pretzels, and some tasty frozen foods to throw into my freezer on the days I am just too overwhelmed to cook.

3. A tapas restaurant like Tasca in Brighton, Massachusetts.  The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. This place serves true tapas and I crave their sizzling garlic shrimp and patatas bravas daily!

Those are my three wishes! The culinary world in Providence seems to be booming right now, so I'm hoping it won't be long till we see my wishes come true.
